Operating Standards for New Members of the International Association for Early Childhood Education (IECE)
1. Overview of the center and age of the children served
Each new member must provide a detailed description of their institution, including:
- The population they serve (children ages 0-6).
- The school's mission and vision, highlighting its focus on early childhood education.
- Specific characteristics of the center that make it unique (bilingual immersion, cultural focus, use of innovative technology, etc.).
2. Inclusion in the Franchise Network (if applicable)
If your school is part of a franchise, you must specify:
- Name of the franchise and its scope.
- How it aligns with IECE values and standards.
3. Owner Biography
Provide a brief biography of the institution's owner or founder, highlighting:
- Their professional career in early childhood education.
- Their commitment to the culture and values that IECE promotes.
4. Director's Biography
Present the biography of the school's principal or academic leader, highlighting:
- Their experience in educational management.
- Achievements in implementing early childhood education programs.
5. Information about the teachers and/or assistants who run the Village that will be part of the AIEI
Share your bio, highlighting:
- Your experience in early childhood education.
- Educational achievements and contributions that qualify you to lead the village.
6. Type of Curriculum Used
Share detailed information about the type of curriculum implemented at the center:
- Learning model (e.g., bilingual immersion, Montessori, Constructivist, Reggio Emilia, etc.).
- How this curriculum aligns with IECE values.
- Example of activities or methodology applied.
7. Presentation of a Circle Time Based on the guidelines of the initial or introductory circle time to IECE
Each center must prepare a Circle Time presentation to the IECE association.
This presentation should not exceed 20 minutes and must cover the parameters of a Circle Time presentation established by IECE, which are:

- Incorporate IECE's values of multicultural and immersive education.
- Be replicable in other centers within the network.
- Promote children's active participation and encourage inclusion.
- Comply with the guidelines established by IECE, described below.
8. Compliance with scheduled activities
Each IECE member must complete the activities assigned in our calendar, following the guidelines established for each one.
9. Inclusion in Social Networks and Collaboration with Luisa Fuentes
- Sign up as part of the official IECE and Luisa Fuentes social media channels.
- Actively participate in campaigns to disseminate the association's values.
- Share evidence of the activities carried out for IECE to be reflected on social media, in compliance with established guidelines.
10. Commitment to International Meetings
- Participate in a minimum of 6 international meetings per year to share progress and innovative ideas and promote collaboration among association members.
11. Use of IECE Exclusive Material
Commit to:
- Use the songs, materials, and resources produced by the IECE in their educational centers' activities.
- Incorporate Patapetpit, an innovative audiovisual work, into their educational programs. This work celebrates the cultural and traditional values of Hispanic countries, reflecting unique narrative styles and fostering cultural respect and appreciation in children.
12. Annual information update
Update your center's information and that of your AIEI participants annually or as needed within our platform.
13. The center undertakes to adopt the lesson plan for learning the English language with standards based on IECE
14. Accreditation and annual renewal as a member of the IECE
Each village must annually complete accreditation and renew its membership in the International Association for Early Childhood Education (IECE). This process is described below:
